It was from the following Postmedia news story (my employer, 27 years) that prompted me to help organize the friends and supporters of 9/11 truth and justice, March 2007 to pursue two petition drives calling on the Government of Canada to investigate the events of 9/11/ 2001. Both petitions were read in the House of Commons, the first by the NDP and and the final by Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party, both rejected by the Harper Government.

The hard-hitting comments, which prompted a round of applause from Mr. O'Connor's Edmonton audience, came in addition to the government's usual reasoning about Canada's duty to help the Afghanistan people.
